Broghammer, Carolyn Ann Carolyn Ann Broghammer took the Lord's hand and began her eternal journey on August 1st, 2019. Carolyn was born to Barbara and James Thibault on August 9th, 1965. She grew up on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, attended Mound Westonka High School, and graduated from The University of St. Thomas. Carolyn married her soulmate and high school sweetheart, Brett Broghammer in May of 1990, after he briefly moved to Florida with his family but returned to Minnesota in a bid to win her heart. He did, and they went on to have 4 beautiful, kind, (and vertically gifted) children. Carolyn was the beating heart of her household, always giving all of herself and never asking for anything in return. She beautifully fulfilled her vocation to motherhood- spending many years helping her kids chase their dreams, running from basketball practice to volleyball, lacrosse, swimming, football, and gymnastics. She never missed an opportunity to bring people together- throwing incredible parties for birthdays, new jobs, and "just because". She will be remembered joyously buzzing around the backyard offering pizza and watermelon to all. Carolyn's friends and family will always cherish her impromptu dance parties, evening boat cruises, backyard hot-tub conversations, hugs, diving board tricks, love for yoga, backbend walkovers while holding a beverage, contagious laugh, charity work, joyfulness, and unmatched positivity. Carolyn sought peace, happiness, and forgiveness through scripture every single day of her life. She was an obedient daughter of Christ, doting wife to Brett Broghammer, loving and supportive mother to Michael and Francie Broghammer, Blake Broghammer and his fiance Alexandra Engel, Paige Broghammer, Allison Broghammer, and grandmother to Steele Broghammer. She was the beloved sister of Mary Jane Swanson and Lisa Laettner and daughter of Barbara Thibault. She is preceded in death by her father, James Thibault. A visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Lake 2385 Commerce Blvd in Mound on Monday, August 5th from 4-7 p.m. On Tuesday, there will be a Requiem Mass also at Our Lady of the Lake, beginning at 11 a.m.
