Janet Clapsaddle Obituary

Clapsaddle (Indrelie), Janet Helen, age 76 of Maple Plain, passed away at home on August 9, 2019. Raised on a farm in southern Minnesota, she was an accomplished seamstress, prolific quilter and blessed with a green thumb. She enjoyed fishing, camping, playing games, gardening and traveling. Her travels included Germany, Austria, Italy, California, Montana, Florida, Colorado, the Dakotas and more. She showed her love in many ways, through her sense of humor and especially with her cooking! The home she created became a warm and comforting haven for her children and grandchildren. Janet is survived by her husband of 54 years (Norman), children Diane (Chris Simmons), Jeanine (Marilyn Rateike), Teresa (Chris Sankey), Michael, Brian (Jenica), grandchildren Andrew Kottke, Marissa Kottke and Nikolas Dainsberg. She was preceded in death by her father (Hubert), mother (Ruth), and sister (Marilyn Haaland). The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Thursday August 15th at Christ Lutheran Church 5084 Main St.E, Maple Plain Minnesota. Visitation starts at 10 AM, a luncheon will follow the funeral service and Interment will be at Christ Lutheran Cemetery following the luncheon. In lieu of flowers, tributes to the Disabled American Veterans, the American Lung Association, or the family, are preferred.
