Hansen, Milton C., 90, of Long Lake, Minn., died Aug. 7, 2019, with Marjorie (Stevermer), his wife of 65 years, by his side. Milton was born in Burt, Iowa, and graduated from Bricelyn (Minn.) High School. Milton served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, earning the Purple Heart, three Bronze Service Stars and Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster. After farming in Alexandria, Minn., he graduated from Alexandria Vocational-Technical College and worked as parts manager at Long Lake Ford Tractor for 28 years. Milton is survived by his sister, Marcella Goette (Marvin); children Karen Hansen Gurstelle (William), Brad (Princesa), Brian (Kathy) and Marilyn Cox (Steve); grandchildren Brady (Jolene), Britni (Tony), Curtis (Brittney), Nicole (Alex), James, Grant, Laura and Erik; great-grandchildren Zach, Cody, Wyatt, Aiden and Natalie, as well as nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Eleanor, and his brother, Larry (Elizabeth). He was devoted to his family and enjoyed travel, woodworking, hunting and fishing. Milton was an active participant in 4H, Farm Bureau, American Legion, Toastmasters, Orono Lions Club, the Church of St. George and Knights of Columbus. The funeral will take place at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 13, at the Church of St. George, 133 N. Brown Rd., Long Lake, Minn. Visitation also Monday, Aug. 12, 5-7 p.m. at Rettinger Funeral Home, 425 Lake St., Long Lake.
