Robert (Bob) D. Gilbertson

Gilbertson, Robert "Bob" D. 6/8/1933 4/6/2019. Preceded in death by his parents Olaf and Kathleen, wife Patricia, son Tommy, brother Norris Gilbertson and sister Beverly Jacobson. Survived by daughters Michelle Gilbertson (granddaughter Lulu), Kim Gildow (husband Ken, grandchildren Ross (wife Crystal) and Bailey); sons Mike (wife Gretchen, grandchildren Olivia, Anna and Tucker), Jeff (wife Grace, grandchildren Kate and Helen) and Tim (Yolanda, Ani and Casiano). Dad grew up in Erhard, MN, and worked on the family farm when he wasn't sneaking away to play baseball, his first love. He graduated from Pelican Rapids High School and then joined the Air Force during the Korean War. He then moved to Minneapolis where he met the second love of his life, Patricia Laubach. Pat and Bob were married in 1958 and eventually raised six mostly fabulous kids in Maple Plain, MN. Bob never gave up his love of baseball and Halsey Hall's play by play was the soundtrack of our summer's. Mom and dad spent their last years in assisted living at Trails of Orono, in Orono, MN. We are forever grateful for the loving care they were provided. A celebration of life will be held June 8th please email for further details:
