Stifter, Arnold Paul (Arnie) was born in Winsted, Minnesota on February 17, 1935 to Joseph and Mary (Haekencamp) Stifter. He passed away on March 17, 2024 in Orono, Minnesota. Arnie attended school at St. Mary’s in Waverly, MN and served in the U.S. Military. He was married to Catherine (Seifert) for 19 years and together they raised two children. For much of his adult life Arnie worked as a printer for the Minneapolis StarTribune. He was a passionate fisherman and hunter, always in search of the next big buck or walleye. Arnie was preceded in death by five siblings and many friends. He is survived by his brother Cletus, his children, Vicky and Scott, daughter-in-law, Deb and four grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly, MN at 11
a.m. on Saturday, June 22.
