Barry Roche Obituary



Barry Richard Roche, age 66 of Montrose, MN. Born June 27th, 1956 passed away at home surrounded by family on December 17th 2022 after a year long battle with cancer. He was proceeded in death by his parents Jim and Pat Roche and his brother, Geoff Roche. He is survived by his loving wife LaVonne. His children, Christina and Gary Bohn, Michael and Sam, Victoria and Taylor Ankney. Grandchildren,  Brooklyn, Brooklyn, Xavier, William, Charlotte, Melanie and Travis. Siblings, Kathy and Alan Domeyer, Sandy and Tim Eaton, Shaun Stende, Molly and Chris Gerber, Bob Roche/Irene Levy and Chris and Beckey Roche, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Barry was so adored and loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He graduated from Edina East in 1975 and had a degree in Photography from the College of Art and Design in Boulder, Co. He also received 3 honorable discharges from the United States Navy, Army Reserves and Florida National Guard. Barry was an avid outdoors man, deer hunting, fishing, riding his much loved motorcycle. He also enjoyed building things, playing darts, and bowling. He was a devoted family man and loved his grandchildren dearly. A public celebration of life will be held on June 24th, 2023 at the Delano American Legion, with more details to come. A private interment will be held at Fort Snelling at a later date.
