Bette Myra Pletcher

Bette M. Pletcher age 92 of Long Lake. Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday February 6, 2022 from cancer. She was born on Sunday September 29, 1929 to Peter and Anna (Firle) Smith. Her early years were spent in Bird Island, Minnesota where she was born and graduated high school.  Her first employment was at the Seward Kemp Drugstore in Olivia, MN. and later at the Long Lake Drugstore for many years. Bette was a good cook, she canned and kept an immaculate house! After her family was raised she cleaned houses for many years in this area. In 1956 she met Dean Pletcher through his sister. She spent most of her 65 years of married life in the Long Lake area. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Lake.  Bette was very close to her siblings. She was the youngest of 8 children. Bette is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Norman, Eva Bernice, Leo, Warren and an infant brother and sister. Bette is survived by her loving husband, Dean. Sons, Thomas (Julie) Pletcher and Robert (Dottie) Pletcher. Very special grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Alexie, Adam, Dean, Caleb, Zachary, Lydia and Luke. 11 Great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Rest in peace, Bette. Private family services.
