Bonnie J. Boylan Obituary

Bonnie Jane (Wulff) Boylan, age 92, passed peacefully on April 9 th after a brief hospitalization.

Born April 18, 1933, in Floyd, Iowa to Merle and Karl Wulff along with her twin sister and lifelong best friend Beverly (Wulff) Moeller. Bonnie attended country school through the 8 th grade. She and her twin sister drove their pony to and from school and loved their farm upbringing. Bonnie graduated from Charles City High School.

Bonnie and Bever attended St. Lukes Nursing School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Bonnie practiced nursing in various schools and clinics for over 50 years. She was a caregiver her whole life and that extended to her family and friends.

Bonnie wed her high school sweetheart Donald Keith Boylan October 23, 1954, and they were married for 58 years. They had three children, Steve, Kate, and Susie. As a family they traveled extensively during the summer months. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with family, reading, knitting, and being a grandmother to her three grandchildren. She went to many of their activities and she and Don loved to spend time with them at their log cabin in Colorado.

Bonnie was an active member of Calvin Presbyterian Church in Long Lake for over 60 years. Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband Don, twin sister Beverly and brother-in-law Junior Moeller, her Parents and other beloved relatives. Bonnie is survived by her three children Steven (Jodi), Kathleen, and Susan (Lowell) Seashore; three grandchildren Katie (John) McNaughton, Andrew (Natalie) Walker,  and Erin (Alex) Botz; and five great grandchildren: Addley and Max McNaughton, Riley and Mackenzie Walker, and Liam Botz.

A celebration of Bonnie’s life is planned for a later date.
