Carl D. Dave Barnes

Barnes, Carl David "Dave" age 87 of Plymouth. Passed away peacefully on Nov. 19, 2023 Born Jan. 12, 1936 in Des Moines, IA. Graduated from Iowa State with a degree in electronics engineering. A career in computers followed. Was employed at IBM, Control Data, and other computer companies. Served 6 years in the Air Force Reserves. Was a member of the Wayzata Masonic Fraternity  and Wayzata American Legion. Preceded in death by parents, Russell and Eunice Barnes and two brothers. Survived by loving wife Ann for 46 happy years. Family: C. Dan Barnes, Linda Barnes (Mark) Kathy Barnes, Scott Melchior (Terri), Christi Robertson, (Pat) and Brian Melchoir (Kari). 11 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Service 11 am Wednesday 11/29. Visitation 4-8 pm Tuesday at Rettinger Funeral Home 425 Lake St Long Lake.
