Dan L. Fowser age 84, passed away peacefully April 9, in Dalhart, TX. Dan and Mary were on their way home to Long Lake after spending the winter in Surprise, AZ. Dan was born October 9th, 1941 in Lake Wilson, MN, to Marshal and Laverle Fowser. He attended the Lake Wilson School System, graduating in 1959. He and 2 buddies joined the USAF in 1959, stationed in Roswell, NM and honorably discharged in 1963. Dan married Mary Miller on June 16, 1962 and they spent their first year of marriage in Roswell. Returning to Long Lake, Dan attended Dunwoody Institute where he studied to be an electrician, later starting Fowser Electric.
Three sons were born to Dan and Mary, Dean, Derek (deceased) and David. Dan loved to hunt, bird hunting being his favorite and fish at the cabin "Up North" his happy place. Dan was a lifelong member of Messiah United Methodist Church, Plymouth, MN.
Dan was preceded in death by his son, Derek. Parents, Marshall and Laverle. Brother, Dale. Survived by Mary, his loving wife of 63 years. Sons, Dean and David. Brother, Don (Norma). Sisters, Daris (Milt) Schuur and Darcy (Clark) Schuur. Many loving relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Balaton Sportsman Club P O Box 23 Balaton, MN 56115. Visitation Tues. April 21, 5-7 pm at Rettinger Funeral Home, Long Lake. Memorial Service 11:00 AM, Wed. April 22 at Messiah United Methodist Church, 17805 County Rd 6, Plymouth, MN 55447. Visitation also 1 hour prior to service at church.
