David B. Liesch

Liesch, David B., 67 of Maple Plain. Passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2023. He was born August 18, 1956 in Minneapolis, MN. Graduated in 1974 from Orono High School. He went on the the University of Minnesota for 2 years before going to North Hennepin Technical. He received his certification in Auto mechanics while the tuition was free this last year. He then completed his degree in Communications while raising a family. David and Carla opened Long Lake Floral in 1990. They operated the high volume, full service retail shop for 25 years, six days a week. It later did mainly commercial orders. David was a man of many talents. He was well read, extremely bright, fixed cars, created metal art, built wooden projects and could fix just about anything. He was happiest working out in his shop surrounded by his animals on the farm. Cars, motorcycles, John Deere Tractors and his bobcat. He loved it all. It was an added bonus when the kids and their families were around. His quick wit and wonderfully dry sense of humor is what many will miss most of all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Olive Liesch Survived by his wife, Carla, Children, Nick Liesch Stephanie (Ronson) Yong Matthew (Lyndsie) Liesch Ava and Colson Yong Maxwell and Noah Liesch Brother, Brian (Hollace) Liesch Sister, Susan Liesch (Mark Anthony) Nieces and nephew Animals, Jennie Mae, Moonie and Joey who wait for their master. Memorial Service 1:00 PM Fri. Sept. 29 at Wayzata Community Church, 125 Wayzata Blvd. E. Wayzata, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family.
