Dennis Mark Krump

Dennis Mark Krump, of Orono, MN. Passed away January 4, 2023, the result of a massive heart attack. Denny was born January 26, 1948 to Peter and Gladys (Knaak Mumm) Krump at Breckenridge, Minnesota. In 1953 his family moved from Hankinson North Dakota to Crystal Bay,  Minnesota.  He graduated from Dunwoody Industrial Institute in 1968, in drafting and estimating. He worked as a draftsman until 1972. He then worked as an iron worker from that date until 1981. He was an estimator until the fall of 1986. At that time, he and two partners started their own steel erection company, KMH Erectors. He retired in November 1998. He married Deborah Lynnette (Smith) Wille, August 23, 2003, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wayzata, Minnesota. Denny enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, water crafts, skiing, cooking, helping his nephew at harvest time, and was always ready to help others. He was dearly loved by Deb's children and he was a special grandfather to the grandchildren. Denny is survived by his wife, Deb, her children Nick (Cassy) Wille and Amanda Havlik, grandchildren, Madison, Izabella, Teagan, Cooper, Alexandra, Jennifer, Hayley. Siblings, Art Krump (Bernice), Elaine Nordick, Illa Abel (Denny), Meg Parmer, Lee Krump (Shirley), LaVonne Althoff, Janice Lehrke (Dale), sisters-in-law Bev Mumm, Marlys Krump. Denny was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Angie Buckhouse, Mary Ann Scheller, Darlene Witt, Hillie Ehlert, Lester Krump, Dorothy Kaler, Geraldine Arnhalt, Gerald Krump, LouElla Freese, Paul Krump, Pat Bettise, Duane Mumm.  Visitation will be Saturday, January 14th, 1:00 - 5:00 at Rettinger Funeral Home in Long Lake, Minnesota. Funeral service will be at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Lake, Monday, January 16th, 12:00 with visitation also one hour prior to service at church.
