Gayle Louise Rainerson

Gayle Louise Rainerson, age 71, passed away April 2, 2019.  Preceded in death by her husband Jim and her parents Bill and Ellen.  Survived by her children Heidi (Paul) Swedburg and Brian (Jen) Rainerson; grandchildren James, Erik, Brooke, Coralie, Jacob, Wyatt, and Lauren; great-granddaughter Kaylynn; brother Everett (Lucy) Parker; brother-in-law Dave Rainerson; and sister-in-law Elaine Rainerson.  Gayle and her brother grew up in North Minneapolis.  After graduating from North High she married Jim, her high school sweetheart.  They raised their family in Robbinsdale and were active in the church.  She served as Kitchen Chairman and she and Jim worked together on the church cookbook.  Gayle began her career at North Memorial Hospital as a Ward Secretary.  There the bug grabbed her to become a Registered Nurse.  She attended college and graduated with a Nursing degree.  Most of her Nursing career was spent at Eitel Hospital in Minneapolis.  When Multiple Sclerosis forced her into disability retirement, she volunteered at a teen clinic.  She loved to go to the Lake with Jim, everyone had an open invitation to come for a visit.  Her final years were spent at Elim Home Watertown.  We greatly appreciate the care she received there.  A celebration of life will take place this summer at the Lake.
