Hansen, Hans "Hank" age 64 of Wayzata, formerly of Long Lake. passed away after a courageous battle with organ failures on September 7, 2018. Preceded in death by his loving wife Natalie, and step-father Roger Johnson, father/mother Henry B. Hansen, Virginia Lahr, step-father/mother Gordon Walsfeld, Alta, sister Ginni Gae Klein, Survived by son Henry H. Hansen (Jillian), grandchildren Porscha, Levi, Delind, Kyla, siblings Cheryln Sueker (Don), Debra Lawson (Jake), Lori Popp (Tyler), Bradley Hansen (Carolyn), in-laws Carol, Tim, Todd Johnson, uncles, aunts, cousins, niece & nephews and many other family and friends. He was employed an retired by the local 49ers Union, also volunteer fireman for the Long Lake Fire Dept. Operations. Hank was an amazing husband, father & grandfather. He was a courageous firefighter for the city of Long Lake. Hank was a mentor and a leader in the fire department who encouraged and pushed other's outside their comfort zone to achieve success. His loss is being felt throughout the community by the many he has touched. He was a quiet man but if you were lucky to be his friend, you had a friend for life. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, riding his Harley, fishing, flying, reading, gardening, Sudoku and late-night Social Hour at the American Legion. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten nor far from our hearts. There will be a celebration of life on Wednesday, September 19th at 6pm Long Lake Fire Department 1340 Willow Dr. N. Orono. two hours prior there will be a social hour. Memorials preferred.
