Jean M. Podzimek

Jean Marie (Jeanie) Podzimek, Peacefully passed away at Apache Junction Health Care, AZ Jeanie was 87 years old and the 2nd of 7 children. She grew up in the Hopkins/Minnetonka area and was a member of the 1st graduating class of the new Minnetonka High School in the 1950's. She spent one year at St Catherine's College before transferring to MacPhail College to pursue a degree in music. An avid trumpet player who taught her children to play various instruments. Upon graduation, she married and became a mother of 4 settling in the Wayzata area.

She was instrumental in opening a successful meat shop with her husband, "Wayzata Meats." Years later they became the owners of "Mississippi Riverwood" campground. She chose to live the life of an RV owner and traveled her home to many parts of the U.S. Staying winters in the BLM area of AZ and summers in Minnesota. She is preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Elizabeth (Schieber) Gendreau. Husband Eugene Podzimek Bother's Arthur & James Gendreau, sister Jacqueline Patton & June Gebhart. Son Brian Podzimek and daughter Frances Stangler. 2 Brother-in-laws and a sister-in-law.

Survived by sons Mark Podzimek (Debbie) and Daniel Podzimek (Janice). Grandchildren, Tori Hill (Andre), Andrew, Tanner & Rebecca. Great Grandchildren, Jameson & Kita Hill. Sister Judy Vermeulen & Janet Gendreau (Randy Geisler). Sister-in-law Sherri Gendreau & Brother-in-law Albert Patton. Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and many cousins. Love you Mom.
