Jeanie (Jean) Mann Obituary

Mann Jean "Jeanie"

Jean “Jeanie” Mann passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on November 4, 2025. Jeanie’s family, faith, and friends were the foundation of her life. She is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Don Mann; their children and grandchildren, Sarah, Hunter and Pieper; Julia (Colin), Anna and Lauren; and Brianna (Ed), Eddie, Will, Alex and Lucy; as well as her sister, Kathy (Bruce) Anderson, her cousin, Mary Kay Hill, and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Born and raised in Eveleth, MN, Jeanie graduated from Eveleth HS ('66). Her journey led her to Minneapolis after graduating from Bemidji State University. She spent her career teaching with the Watertown School District. She and Don built a beautiful life together in Maple Plain—raising their family, creating lasting friendships, and later settling into a new chapter in Delano where they have lived for over 20 years. After retiring from Watertown, she continued her passion for teaching at Delano ECFE and later welcoming students for field trips at Fall Harvest Apple Orchard. She cherished every moment cheering her daughters and grandchildren in their lives, sports and academics; sharing laughter and connecting with her friends; devoting her time to St George and St Max churches; staying connected with her Watertown school community; mastering her gardens and enjoying time with the Big Woods Garden Club; driving the train at Fall Harvest; and making treasured visits home to her family on the Iron Range.

Jeanie will always be remembered for her warm smile, selfless spirit, and her unwavering love of family, teaching and contributing to the community. She had a gift for bringing people together, celebrating others’ successes, and offering encouragement—often over endless cups of coffee. Her kindness and generosity touched countless lives, and her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.

A Catholic service followed by a reception celebrating Jeanie’s life will be held on November 19, 2025 at St. George Church, Long Lake, MN. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., with Mass at 12:00 p.m.https://www.caringbridge.org/profile/signin?from=%2Fsearch&fname=Jeanie
