Jennifer A. Schaumburg Obituary

Jennifer “Jen” Schaumburg (Davidson), 47, of Greenfield passed away unexpectedly on October 4, 2023. Jen was born April 17, 1976 as the only child of George and Margaret Davidson. She grew up in Wayzata, Minnesota and graduated from Wayzata Senior High in 1994. She attended Hennepin Technical College and graduated with a degree in Horticulture in 1998. Jen became a Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Certified Professional (MNLA). She worked in the garden center industry, owned her own business (Davidson’s Greenways), and worked for the floral industry. Since 2020, Jen has worked in a management position at Superior Outdoor Expressions. Jen met her soulmate, Ben, when they worked together at Otten Bros. in 1995. They married on October 11, 2002 and were blessed with three children, Isabel (18), Olivia (17) and Alexander (12). The family moved from Wayzata to Greenfield in 2006. She cared for her beloved mother, Margaret, when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer, until her passing in 2009. She raised her three beautiful children, involved in all of their activities at church, girl scouts, cub scouts, band, school plays and volleyball. The family are active members at Glory of Christ Lutheran Church in Plymouth, Minnesota. Jen’s passions included her children, the family’s puppies, gardening, camping, volleyball and the outdoors. Jen spent her time and energy where she felt it mattered most – in her family, friends and faith. She was fiercely loyal to those in her circle and would drop everything to help someone in need. She was involved in celebrating all of life’s moments, big or small – bringing people together, capturing the moment in a photo, sharing her smile or quick wit, laughing and cheering us all on. She showed up, and she made every interaction fun. Jen had a talent for forming deep and authentic connections with others and had an amazing impact on so many family members, friends, and anyone that she met.Jen is preceded in death by her parents, George and Margaret Davidson. She is survived by her husband, Ben; and children, Isabel, Olivia and Alexander; parents (in law), Rodney and Gwenn Schaumburg; siblings (in law), Jon (Jess) Schaumburg, Alanna (Blake) Peterson, and Tim (Allison) Schaumburg, along with many other family and friends.
