Kelly Amelia Larson

Larson, Kelly Amelia (Townsend) Age 55, of Orono, passed away on February 23rd after a courageous struggle with breast cancer.  Kelly loved her husband, children, God, family and friends profoundly.  She was gorgeous and spunky. Loving and truthful. Bold and absolutely the source of energy in a room. Kelly made our lives more colorful and vibrant.   She had the ability to spread excitement, joy, faithfulness, and laughter to everyone she met.  Kelly is preceded in death by her father William Townsend.  Kelly is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Tracy Larson, her children, Oscar and Owen Larson; mother Carol Townsend; siblings Mary (Jay) Foster, Bill (Lori) Townsend, John (Mary) Townsend, Cory (Lisa) Townsend; father- in-law Don (Rebecca) Larson; mother-in-law, Nancy Herrick; sister-in-law, Beth (Tim) Traff; brother-in-law Eric Larson; 16 nieces and nephews, and cherished friends Jodi Schwendimann, Ann Freund, Lisa Ryscamp, and Claudia Lacy, along with many others whom she dearly loved and who devoted themselves to caring for her.  Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 1st, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 2385 Commerce Blvd, Mound, MN at 11:00 am, visitation 1 hour before. Private family interment later. Luncheon to follow at The Lafayette Country Club. Memorials preferred to Smile Train.
