LaVonne W. Dorrel Obituary

Dorrel, LaVonne W. of Long Lake. Passed away peacefully March 6. Preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Dorrel and brother Garland Whitmore. Survived by son Thomas W. Dorrel (Ev) and daughter Molly J. Jensen (Andy); brother Charles Whitmore (Betty); 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She taught in the Orono School District for many years helping children with learning disabilities, was an avid golfer, bridge player and seamstress. LaVonne always had a smile for everyone and everything, and always had chocolate chip cookies for everyone. Longtime member of West Hennepin Museum and Orono Lionesses. Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. Monday March 12 with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 177 Glendale Dr. Long Lake. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Lavonne's name to your favorite charity.
