Bader, Louis G.

Age 73, of Orono, passed away June 27, 2012. Beloved husband of Nyla and devoted father of Susan (Phil) Coldwell, Margaret (David) Larson, Christine Bader (Doug Hebard) and Edward Bader. Also proud grandfather of David Williams, Maddy and George Hebard. Born in St. Paul Feb. 8, 1939 to Madeline and Donald Bader, Lou was an enthusiastic Cretin H.S. alumnus. Caring and unfailingly generous, Lou treasured his family above all. His wit and charm earned him many lifelong friends. After retiring from business, Lou became a dedicated cardiac rehab volunteer at Methodist Hospital. He was passionate about golf, gardening, reading and his family connections in Ireland. Survivors also include his siblings, Tom (Brenda) Bader; Melly (Souheil) Ailabouni and Mary Bader (Joel Papa); sisters-in-law Shirley Erickson and Muriel (Robert) Chakich; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Mass Saturday, 11 AM, St. Thomas More Church, 1065 Summit, St. Paul. Visitation at church, 10 AM. Private family internment. Memorials preferred to the Terrance D. Capistrant Parkinson Center, Bethesda Hospital, St. Paul.
