Patricia E. Schaefer

Patricia E. Schaefer age 89 of Long Lake, Minnesota passed away on November 2, 2024 surrounded by family. Pat was born on December 24, 1934 in St. Cloud, MN. She graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1956 where she obtained a B.S. degree in Business Education and minor in Mathematics. She married Vincent Schaefer in 1957. They raised their family of five daughters and grandson on the shores of Long Lake, MN.
She worked throughout the years at St. George Church, Dayton-Hudson Corporation and for Bruce Dayton-Bliss Company. She had a great appreciation for the arts, loved to read and enjoyed many world travel adventures with her husband Vince of 61 years. She was a pillar of strength and wisdom to all who knew her and a devoted mother who always put her family first.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Vince Schaefer. Daughters Catherine Schaefer and Carolyn Schaefer. Survived by daughters, Diane (Fred) Miller, Janet (Marty) Schneider and Elaine (Joe) Geelan; grandchildren Jason (Aletta) Schaefer; Dane, Maggie and Kirsten Miller; Colin and Nate Geelan; great grandchildren Betty and Hank Schaefer; sister Betty Przybilla and brother, John Bemis.

Funeral service to be held on Thursday, November 14th at St. George Catholic Church, 133 N Brown Rd., Long Lake, MN., 55356. Visitation 10am, service 11am with luncheon to follow (private burial). Memorials to support the Margaret and Clifford Bemis Scholarship in Math Education may be made payable to the Bemis Scholarship SCSU Foundation and mailed to St. Cloud State University, Attention Gift Processing, 720 4 th Ave S, St. Cloud, MN 56301.
