Paul P. Leintz

Paul P. Leintz (4/28/1942 - 8/15/2026)  Born to Anton and Julianna Leintz of Killdeer, North Dakota, Paul was one of 12 children. As a middle child, he became a friend, mediator, mentor, and source of support to those around him, a role he continued throughout his life.

Paul married Mary Louise Mangen in 1969, and together they built their family and a home construction business in the Twin Cities. Paul valued not only building homes for people to dwell in, but also building communities for people to live within.

Paul was incredibly kind and caring. He was a trusted resource and sounding board, and people often sought his advice. He shared his opinions directly, but understood that relationships were stronger than differences of opinion. When someone saw things differently, Paul would simply say, “You can never figure like they figure,” and move on.

Smiles, laughter, and a love of fun fill the memories of those who knew Paul. Whether fishing, traveling with family, playing cards, enjoying casino nights, carving pumpkins, or celebrating holidays with his grandchildren, Paul showed up with a smile and a readiness to engage. He had a way of making ordinary moments memorable.

Paul’s life was shaped by a strong work ethic, resourcefulness, persistence, gratitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to take chances. He was someone who figured things out, found a way forward, and was never afraid to take action.

Above all else, Paul was committed to his family, showing them unwavering love and dedication throughout his life.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Julianna Leintz; siblings Helen Brown, Frances Patterson, Leo Leintz, Agnes Johnson, Thomas Leintz, Julius (Don) Leintz, Marullinius (Mark) Leintz, Julia (June) Werk, Beatrice Richards, and Joseph Leintz; his wife, Mary Louise Leintz; and his daughter, Amy Horne.

He is survived by his sister, Angelina Smith; daughters Alison (Harold) Forbs and Alyssa (Leigh) Conducy; grandchildren Annika Shoemaker, Roxanne Conducy, and Bronson Conducy; life partner Linda Rodewald; and son-in-law Jon Horne.

Memorial Service, A semi-private memorial is planned for Saturday, August 29, 2026 in Shakopee MN. If interested in attending, please email alyssaconducy@gmail.com.
