Robert Karl Leeds It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Robert, whose bright blue eyes twinkled with quick wit and a perfectly timed joke always at the ready. Born on August 27, 1931, Robert passed away peacefully at age 93 on August 9, 2025, in Wayzata, with loved ones near in heart. A devoted husband and loving father, he was preceded in death by his parents, Teres and Clarence Leeds, and his brothers, Jack and Earl. A visionary and respected businessman, Robert co-founded Jewelmont with his brother Jack, building it into a leading manufacturing company serving more than 9,000 retailers. His global travels forged lasting partnerships and led to new factories in the U.S. and abroad. Robert had a gift for making people feel welcome and valued. His warm presence, magnetic smile, and quick, engaging laugh could brighten any room. His humor could turn negatives into positives, always assuring those around him that the glass was never half empty and that solutions were within reach. An avid outdoorsman, Robert found joy in fishing and hunting in Canada, skiing the Rockies, and, above all, a lifelong pursuit of golf. Ever generous with his knowledge - whether golf or skiing - he was known to offer lessons to anyone within earshot, including more talented professionals, whether they asked or not. Together with his wife, Ursula, he traveled widely, but their memories in Italy remained his favorite of all. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of over 52 years, Ursula; his daughter, Debra; his sons, Robert (Debbi) and John (Terri); and cherished grandchildren and great- grandchildren. In his final moments, Robert's last gesture was a gentle, reassuring grip on Ursula's hand - a silent promise that everything would be all right and she need not worry. For his family and friends, his voice, counsel, and irrepressible humor will never fade, and his kindness will be missed for all their days. All services will be private.
