Thomas R. Wakefield

Thomas Wakefield (Tom) passed away on Oct. 22nd at the age of 68 peacefully surrounded by family and friends. His great passion for learning included pursuits in navigation and aviation leading to many adventures on sea and in the sky. He loved animals especially horses, cats and peacocks. Tom was also a writer. In his books he shared his knowledge in the pursuit of happiness and fulfillment in life’s journey.  His belief of “living life in awe” and a quest for adventure guided his many pursuits in travel. Unfortunately, his life was cut short by cancer. Preceded in death by his mother Wilma Wakefield; survived by his father John Brost; Siblings Jerry, Jim and Victoria Aberg; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley.
