Vincent S. Schaefer of Medina, Minnesota passed away on July 24, 2018 surrounded by family.
Vince was born on December 18, 1931 in St. Cloud, MN. He graduated from St. John’s University in 1949 and received his masters degree at the University of Puget Sound in 1956. Vince served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. He married Patricia Bemis in 1957. They raised their family of five daughters and a grandson on the shores of Long Lake, MN.
Vince worked at Campbell-Mithun advertising agency for twenty-five years as a vice-president account executive. He retired on his 50th birthday in 1981 to pursue his love and passion for the arts including: wood carving, painting, leather work and bronze sculpting. Vince took pride in serving his community as a member of the Long Lake City council. He also enjoyed all that was outdoors along with hunting, fishing, gardening and many world travels with his wife Pat of 61 years.
Vince is preceded in death by his daughters Catherine Schaefer and Carolyn Schaefer and his sister Jacqueline Holm. Survived by wife Pat Schaefer; daughters Diane (Fred) Miller, Janet (Marty) Schneider and Elaine (Joe) Geelan. Grandchildren: Jason Schaefer; Dane, Maggie and Kirsten Miller; Colin and Nate Geelan; and brothers Robert and James Schaefer.
