Buschbom, Wilma Bernice (Sellers)
Wilma, 88, died peacefully on December 18, 2011. She was born in Green Mountain, Iowa, and later lived in Albert Lea, Long Lake, Wayzata, and Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Althea Sellers, brothers Clifford, Harold, Arthur and Raymond; sisters Alice Hauser and Ruth Eberline, and survived by children Milton (MaryKate) Plano, TX; Eldon (Carol) Minnetonka, MN; Marilyn (Jon) Lueth Fridley, MN; Grandchildren, Eric (Melissa) Lueth, Kimberly (Matthew) Proebstle, and Brian Buschbom; Great-grandchildren, Justin, Cheyenne and Alexis Lueth. Many other nieces, nephews and friends were also an important part of her life. She was an active church member and served as an Elder in the Presbyterian Church for over 30 years. After retiring from the Carlson Companies in 1992, she found time for her imaginative interests, which included painting with watercolors and writing poetry. Family and friends always looked forward to receiving her hand made, fun, witty, and sometimes edgy greeting cards. Wilma made the most of life, whether times were good or challenging. She was a very social person who easily made friends with her fun sense of humor and good natured banter, often trading jokes and telling stories for hours at a time. In later years, as her eyesight faded, she enjoyed listening to books on tape, and became a huge Twins and Vikings fan.
A memorial service will be held at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 177 Glendale Drive, Long Lake, MN on Wednesday, December 28 at 11:00am. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Private interment.
